Sundays at First UU Go Virtual
First Unitarian Universalist Church of Springfield is suspending all in-person services effective immediately. The research behind #FlattenTheCurve calls us to our fifth source and asks us to heed the guidance of reason and the results of science. However, our social distancing doesn’t mean that we have to step back from our community or our faith.

10:00 – Virtual Religious Exploration
Join us on Zoom for a half-hour family-centered intergenerational Religious Exploration class each Sunday morning at 10:00 am. We will gather, light a chalice, participate in our familiar UU rituals, hear a short story, and talk about a way that our family can reflect on our UU values together throughout the week.
Parents and caregivers are the primary religious educators for our children. The discussions and activities that are introduced during this virtual Religious Exploration session are designed to help your family dive into faith formation conversations throughout the week.

11:00 – Virtual Sunday Service
While our building is closed we will still be gathering together. Join us on Zoom for an abbreviated Sunday Service. Bring a chalice, even a teacup or a pretty bowl, and a cup of hot coffee or tea.
The service will center some of our most meaningful Unitarian Universalist rituals with timely reflective readings.
After the service, we will use the breakout room feature of Zoom to have small group conversations together. This will give us a chance to catch up with the other members of our beloved community.
